Bald Creature Attacks Family in Blue Ridge Cabin
On the night of July 11th, a family in North Georgia claimed to have been attacked by an unidentified creature in their cabin. This terrifying experience began on their second night of staying at this new two-story summer home, situated on the edge of a heavily wooded mountainous region. The family has decided to remain anonymous, but they have agreed to share the evidence of what happened during their experience.
The encounter began around 8:00 PM, when the mother of the family (Ms. Smith) reported what she thought were footsteps on the roof of the cabin to the other family members. Today, she describes the footsteps to be quick but heavy in nature.”It sounded like a person running across my roof.” she said, “Definitely not the kind of sounds you’d expect in the woods. They sounded unnatural.” Soon after this, other family members began hearing footsteps as well, but after inspecting the roof from the outside and finding no culprit, they decided it was most likely a raccoon (although Mr. Smith - the father of the family - would later state that the footsteps were “far too heavy to be a racoon”). The volume of the footsteps increased, and every time the family checked the house, a cause could not be identified.

Approximately 20 minutes after the footsteps began, they ceased without any explanation for what they were or who was causing them. The family was relieved when they stopped, and the youngest daughter (age 7) went to bed.
During this time, the rest of the family was separated throughout the cabin. No one expected any more strange occurrences until the daughter suddenly screamed from the bedroom. As the other Smiths rushed into the room, she frantically spoke of a “bald man” with “scary eyes” who had climbed up to the bedroom window to watch her. Mr. and Ms. Smith have both explained that, at the time, they were sure their daughter had just had a nightmare sparked by the footsteps on the cabin roof earlier. They were only mildly alarmed when their son (age 13) also claimed that he had heard odd scratching noises scaling the side of the building that bedroom was on. Mr. Smith decided to check the property to reassure his family, and found nothing even resembling a “bald man”.
As the family calmed down, the sun set behind the mountains surrounding them, and their cabin was quickly covered in darkness. Two hours would pass, before each family member would experience the most frightening moment of their lives. “Something began violently rattling the front door knob,” Mr. Smith recalls. “I was in shock. At first I thought it was an intruder, but something about the way it was shaking was odd, so then I thought it was an animal.” At the door stood something no one from the Smith family had seen before. It was a hairless, bipedal creature slightly shorter than the average human peering through the glass. It’s eyes were sunken in, and it’s pale face seemed to be contorted in a strange grimace. Before anyone could react, it backed away from the front door and ran across the porch to a window. The family watched in horror as it swung its head against the glass, apparently trying to get to them.
The rest of the family prepared for the worst, and desperately ran into another room as it became clear the creature would eventually get inside. From a window in the other room, the family could maintain the creature in their view and watched as it continued to bang its head against the glass. When it noticed the family was no longer in the first room it stopped and scanned the other windows. All of the Smiths agree that it could climb the vertical cabin walls “almost like a lizard”. When it found the room the family was hiding in, it began attacking the window closest to them. In order to avoid the creature, the family continuously ran from room to room. This wild goose chase continued throughout the night.
“I was so scared. I wasn’t prepared for this situation, no one is. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true. People have told me they don’t believe me because I don’t have enough evidence, and it has torn me apart. I wasn’t thinking of evidence during that time, I was thinking of survival. I truly don’t know what that thing was, and I honestly don’t care. I’m just glad we made it out of there. ” - Ms. Smith
“How did this happen? Why did it happen to us? These were the questions going through my head. Everyone was screaming and you could just feel the hunger from that man/creature. It wanted to come in. It wanted to harm us, I am sure of that. Whatever it was, I hope it stays in the woods and doesn’t ever come out again.”

According to the family, the creature gave up on entering their cabin some time in the morning. They were all exhausted, traumatized, and sleep-deprived. After hours of being hunted, it finally seemed as though they were going to be OK. As soon as they all decided it was safe enough to leave, they took their belongings and drove to the nearest hotel in their car.
To this day, the Smiths have refused to go to the police to file a report on what happened on the night of July 11th. For fear of being ridiculed, they have only told their closest friends about the experience.
