Terrifying Bat Creature Encounter in Georgia [Evidence]

Earlier this month, a woman from Georgia claimed she witnessed a terrifying creature in her own backyard. She was actually able to capture footage of it which will be shown below. To protect her privacy, we will call her Julia. Julia lives with her son (age 9) in East Georgia and recently moved to a new house in a rural neighborhood. According to her, there were no problems with the move, and everything about their new house seemed fine up until a couple weeks ago. “Due to the lockdown, I stay at home with my son all the time now,” Julia stated. “I work the night shifts at my job, so I’m used to needing a babysitter, but now since I’m at home pretty much 24/7 that’s no longer necessary.” Julia’s son sleeps in his bedroom, which is adjacent to her own. She made it clear that no babysitter has ever complained of any problems when it came to getting him in bed, but since she started staying at home, he began talking about strange noises during the night. “Every morning, and sometimes in the middle of the night, [my son] would cry and say there’s someone scratching at the window.” Julia explained that her son’s bedroom window was directly above his bed. Whenever he cried out, she claimed she rushed into the room only to hear absolutely nothing. One night though, Julia’s son said something that sent chills down her spine. “At about 10:00 in the evening, he bursts into my room and starts babbling about a strange man looking into his window.” However, when Julia peaked through the window curtains and checked outside, she saw no such thing. “Things kept getting stranger as the night went on, though.” Julia recalls. “I stayed in [my son’s] room until he fell asleep, which took a long time, probably until around 2:00 AM. Then, I walked over to my room to find the backyard motion sensor lights on.” Julia’s bedroom window faces the backyard, and she claims that her new lights designed to turn on when nearby motion is detected are not very sensitive. “All I’m saying is something must have done a lot of moving back there to trigger those lights.” Regardless, she watched the backyard for a while to see if she could spot anything suspicious. Seeing nothing, she decided to go to bed. This was a mistake, though, because she soon noticed that the lights would flicker back on every time they turned off. “At that point I was certain something or someone was out there. I was very scared, and I was half-hoping it was just some kids trying to mess with us. Unfortunately it wasn’t.” Julia suddenly spotted a dark figure, about 4-5 feet tall, standing in the dark just outside of the brightness produced by her backyard lights. “Whatever it was, I could feel it peering out at me and I wanted to scream. It definitely wasn’t human.” When Julia first grabbed her phone to call for help, it emitted an odd electric buzz and died. “Just like that, my phone died! To this day I don’t know how to explain it, but I felt horrible, like I was trapped. The only thing I could do was stand, frozen in fear, watching the creature.” According to Julia, the creature eventually stepped out into the light allowing her to get a better look. The description goes as follows: “It stood upright like a man and had dark, glimmering skin. I couldn’t see a nose or a mouth, but it’s eyes were very human-like” But strangest of all, behind the creature “were two leathery [wings] which had a fluid-like consistency. They were drooping almost like a parachute on its back.” The creature then shockingly leapt forward with “terrifying” speed and flew up to the rooftop. “I heard it scratch around above me, like it was trying to find a way in. I immediately rushed to [my son’s] room and woke him up. He was just as frightened as I was.” Julia made her way to the bathroom, where there were no windows. “[my son] was crying, but we stayed there for the rest of the night.” She claims that while she was in the bathroom, the creature wreaked havoc above, desperately trying to find a way into the house. “I heard it scratching against the walls on every side of the building. I heard it knocking on the windows. It even slammed against a window at one point. It was a living nightmare, especially because I forgot my phone in my bedroom.” Julia and her son stayed put, with the bathroom door locked until the morning. Eventually, the house was dead silent. When she finally decided it was safe, she checked her house for any damage. “No windows were broken, and as far as I could tell [the creature] hadn’t gotten inside.” But the story is far from over. “I felt like I needed to look around outside, just to make sure that monster had left us. So I charged my phone and prepared for the worst.” When Julia surveyed the yard, she saw nothing peculiar. But when she looked up at the sky, to her dismay, she found the terrible creature perched in a tall pine tree. When it saw her, it let out a long shriek, “almost like a train whistle.” That is when Julia decided to tape the winged-man with her phone. “I only got a glimpse before it flew right into some nearby woods. It was very fast, but luckily I filmed it mid-flight.” The video Julia filmed is below as well as an enlarged, high-quality image. Julia is now concerned for her son’s safety, and fears that the creature will return to terrorize them again. “I bought a new phone as a backup, in case whatever that thing was screws mine up again. I also sleep in my child’s room now, and will probably do that for the rest of the year at least.”
